MilCAM-MV is prepared for military operations in every respect. With interchangeable lenses, this palm-sized unit weighs less than 1.4kg, complete with battery and 9° field-of-view lens. Ready to function in the toughest situations and climates, MilCAM meets MIL-STD-810E environment specs. Power consumption is lower too; standard rechargeable NiCd batteries provide more than 2.5 hours of use between charges.

Unlike image intensification or "night-vision" products, the MilCAM-MV's sophisticated infrared detection system does not require ambient light to view the target. With its advanced thermal sensitivity, the MilCAM "sees" heat emitted and converts it to a TV-quality IR image. Targetsare highly visible to the MilCAM-MV in darkness, through foliage, and in smoke, dust, haze, where light-based imaging would leave you blind.

OEM Modules

The MV is composed of five major modules allowing low cost, rapid configuration for specific application. RS-232 serial interface, auto-level and programmable reticles are all standard MV features. Most importantly, the third-generation focal place array (FPA) eliminates the reliability problems of mechanical scanners, and increases thermal sensitivity by a factor of three over less capable systems.

Bringing the target within reach. Capturing the image is only of what MilCAM-MV delivers. It provides a TV like IR image in the sealed ruggedised integral viewfinder. Human targets can be recognised at ranges in excess of 1000 metres and vehicle-sized targets in excess of 2000 metres. Other lens options are available for short or long range surveillance. Controls are simple and easily accessible, and the MilCAM is tripod mountable.
