NVS-10 Night Vision Goggles

Your NVS-10 Night Vision goggles are a modern Night Vision device, meant for a wide scope of purposes ranging from professional to amateur:

- night observation
- night hunting
- patrolling and guatding of objects
- rescue and search operations
- security providing
- technical provision of law services
- navigational safety of ships.

Image intensifier tubes of generation II, II+ or III operating on the principle of multiple increasing of image brightness within visible and near infrared spectrum of emanation and providing 300 - 600 m range of observation is used in the device.

Batteries insatllation:

The NVS-10 night vision goggles require two AA type batteries. Make sure they are in good condition. To provide the most prolonged time of continuous operation of the device (with one set of batteries) alkaline batteries are recommended.

Operation instructions:

1. Remove the lens cap.
2. Switch on the scope. Greenish luminescence is to appear on the screen (passive mode.)
3. Adjust interpupillary distance optimal for you.
4. To get a distinct picture, focus the device through rotating objectives and oculars.
5. If necessity arises to illuminate the object observed IR illuminator is to be activated by toiggle switch . With toggle switch one of three lighter positions (5, 25 or 75mW) can be set.
6. To provide a more effective reach of IR illuminator auxiliary optical piece is to be set to the IR illuminator.
7. To fix the NVS-10 night vision goggles on to the head, the head mount needs to be used. Adjust the straps until comfortable and secure. Move the scope along the conductor to select an optimal distance between it and your eyes. Once in this position, the goggles can be raised without moving your head.
8. Turn the switch to the off position and cover the lens with the cap after use.

Warning: Humidity may get inside the goggle whilst the lens is being replaced. This may lead to optical sweat. In such a case, the device must be dried up with the lens rempved. The operating device must not be pointed at any bright light sources. To prevent photo cathode fatigue, do not leave in the stationary position for more than 30 minutes. DO NOT FORGET TO TURN THE DEVICE OFF AFTER USE!

Storage and Maintenance:

Protect the NVS-10 night vision goggles from shocks and direct sunlight. Keep and carry the goggles in a closed goggle case with the lens safely covered by the cap. Store the goggles in a warm, dry, dark place with the batteries removed and away from any heating devices.
