Archer Night Vision Monocular Instruction Manual
Archer is a small, compact, high strength monocular that has been designed and manufactured solely in the United Kingdom. Archer can be used to fulfil a variety of roles such as surveillance, night observation, security and pest control. Archer comes with a standard fitting that will accept various lenses in 25mm, 50mm and 75m focal lengths.
When used as the day/night scope configuration, Archer is set up so that the cross hairs of the rifle scope are visible at night through the monocular. The monocular can then be detached and used as either a x1 or x2 viewing device. Foxes can be spotted at 200m using the Archer at x2. When vermin, such as a fox is spotted, Archer can be reattached to the fittings on the back of the rifle scope in 2-3 seconds and a shot can then be taken. Archer is, as far as we know, the only full bore compatible product that can be used as a viewing device and a night vision sight. The advantages of not swinging a heavy, loaded rifle and night sight around are obvious!

Getting started:
Attaching the Archer to the day scope:
Firstly, slide the plastic sleeve over the eyepiece of the dayscope. Then, using the compression ring, tighten the male part of the bayonet attachment system over the plastic sleeve. This will now permanently stay on the end of the day scope. Next, screw the female part of the bayonet attachment system onto the front of the Archer. Now by connecting the male and female parts, the Archer can be attached to the day scope and can be easily removed.
Turning on the Archer:
The Archer is easily turned on by turning the little black switch on the battery pack one click in a clockwise direction. This procedure is reversed to turn it off.

Making the cross hairs of the scope visible through the Archer:
Simply just undo the back diopter of the day scope until the cross hairs are in sharp focus.
Using the Archer purely as a monocular:
To use the Archer as a spotting device, simply turn on and use the Archer's focus to clarify the picture. If you want to change lenses, simply unscrew the female part of the bayonet attachment system, then unscrew the existing lens and replace it with a different one. This is basically the same as changing a camera lens. In circumstances where the light is quite bright, you may wish to close the lens' iris slightly and hence allow less light in. In order to do this, you need to turn the ring on the lens that is above the focus ring. Around the ring, there are numbers ranging from 1.3 to 16 and then c. 1.3 is the most open and 16 is almost closed. If it's on c, then the iris is closed. It is important to do this because if you allow toom uch light in, the tube will get damaged.
Using the IR laser:
The IR laser attaches to the top of the Archer very simplistically. Position the hole on the bottom of the IR so that it matches with the hole on the top of the Archer. Turn the cog on the IR to tighten together. Make sure that the end of the IR with the red and white dots on is facing the same way as the rubber eyepiece on the Archer. When the IR is turned off, there will be two white dots opposite each other. In order to switch it on, twist the bottom white dot so that it is opposite the red one. Please be very careful not to look into the laser beam beacuse it is not eye friendly. Once the IR is on, you can twist the front end of it to focus it. This allows you to have a wide beam or a very fine dot. Please bear in mind that you will only be able to see the IR at night time through night vision.
